For a while now, and with some
off-days, presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney has maintained a small but
persistent lead in the two most reliable national polls, Gallup and
Rasmussen. Swing state polls, however, have been less kind. Since Romney
clinched the nomination, President Obama has consistently led in most
of these crucial states, sometimes by wide margins that felt
counter-intuitive when compared to the national polls.
